Welcome Back Sun!

I just escaped the flood waters in Hoi An in time, and made it to the next city on my tour of Vietnam. The last two days in Hoi An it was raining non stop. I think there is something with the molecules of the water here that seem to make the rain drops enormous. Really, they are the biggest darn rain drops I have ever seen. By the time I caught my bus last night, the flood waters from the river were nearly up to the hotel, 300 yards up from the river bank. As much as I enjoy swimming - doing it in the streets is not an experience I was particularly looking for.

I took the sleeper bus from Hoi An to Na Trang, a 12 hour journey. The sleeper bus has about 30 beds in it. Now that is a comfortable way to travel! I felt all chirpy and refreshed by the time we pulled into the city. Seeing the sun and being warm again was just fantastic!

Today was spent in the mud baths of Na Trang. Oh, my skin is all soft and shiny now! Tomorrow - SCUBA diving! Na Trang is a beach city which is said to have some nice dive spots. Hopefully visibility will be good.

Have fun diving. Hope there is great visability. Maybe you will be able to answer a question I have always had. Do the fish there have slanty eyes. I mean DNA is DNA. Take a picture if I am right.

Funny thing: in Holland they had a problem w fast rising waters too. The highest water level since 1953. Any relationship between Hoi Ann and Holl And......?
Glad you are enjoying a few of life's finest; a bed in a bus, a mud bath and maybe a massage after scuba diving? I hope you see a lot of beautiful fish down there. Any restictions about picking up some coral(for your ma)??? Stay safe and be happy, love from yo-ma

Hannah,
I'm sure the diving was just great. You will probably stay just to make another couple of dives. Take some time and dive some more. I hope the surf is good at the next stop. If so let Cara know as she is always looking for a good surfing spot.

Just have fun!
